Our mission at ST. MARK Catholic School, an extension of our Parish, is to be a Christ-centered community, welcoming God’s children to continually grow in grace and wisdom. Recognizing the dignity and the uniqueness of each child, we promote academic excellence through a faith-based education. By developing a Catholic foundation “rooted in faith, knowledge and service,” we send forth our students on their journey through life to share the light of Christ.
Our program of strong academics and strong faith and moral development within a strong community is the hallmark of ST. MARK Catholic School.
Our challenging academic program employs critical thinking and exceeds local, state, and national standards. We strive to meet each child’s individual needs through differentiation, advanced academics, and small class sizes, all within a strong faith-based community.
Why Choose ST. MARK?
When choosing a school, what are the considerations one must make? In Northern Virginia, there are “good schools” aplenty. So, why come to ST. MARK Catholic School?
With our strong academics, strong values and strong community, our students find their gifts and talents and learn how to be successful in school and in life. If this is the kind of school you seek, then ST. MARK Catholic School is for you!
A 2015 Blue Ribbon School, named by the U.S. Department of Education, ST. MARK Catholic School has a current enrollment of 350 students. Here at ST. MARK, we seek to nurture the whole child: academically, spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically. This commitment has helped our school to earn the Blue Ribbon distinction.
At ST. MARK Catholic School, children ages three years through grade eight grow in faith, knowledge and service under the instruction of experienced, caring teachers. Please take your time enjoying our website and learning about the many qualities that make ST. MARK a truly unique, Christ-centered community.
Since 2003, students have come to ST. MARK Catholic School eager to learn, are celebrated for their uniqueness, and allowed to grow to their own unique potential. ST. MARK Catholic School students share the light of Christ in all of their endeavors both in and out of the classroom. Our graduates excel in high school and beyond, attending Diocesan high schools, Gonzaga College High School and Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in D.C., additional local private high schools, and some public high schools, including Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
Please consider visiting us. We give tours at your convenience.

NON-DISCRIMINATION CLAUSE
Catholic Schools, administered under the authority of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, comply with those constitutional and statutory provisions, as may be specifically applicable to the schools, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, age, marital status, disability, national origin, or citizenship in the administration of their educational, personnel, admissions, financial aid, athletic, and other school-administered programs.
This policy does not preclude the existence of single sex schools, nor does it conflict with the priority given to Catholics for admission as students. This policy also does not preclude the ability of the school to undertake and/or enforce appropriate actions with respect to students who advocate on school property or at school functions, any practices or doctrines which are inconsistent with the religious tenets of the Catholic faith.

One benefit of being an active member of our parish is receiving a discount on a ST. MARK School education. The true cost of educating a child in a Parochial school is never met solely by the tuition. The parish has always covered the difference. This includes many expenses such as maintenance and repairs, utilities and telecommunications, administration and bookkeeping, to name a few. One aspect of being an active parishioner is contributing to the parish through Faith Direct or parish envelopes.
Registration fees are due upon acceptance. This non-refundable fee reserves each student’s spot in the class and helps offset the costs of textbooks, workbooks, technology and software licensing fees, technology upgrades, classroom furniture, and material needs for each child. The fees are as follows:
First child | Second child | Third child | Fourth child | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Registration fee (Preschool – Grade 8) | $350 | $275 | $150 | $75 |
